Out with the Old Year ...
This is NOT a self-portrait! It represents the year 2004 fading away.Whew! This has been a whirlwind year here at !

Of course moving to our lovely new location in Oregon City was the big event. Then there was meeting all of our new neighbors while keeping up with finding new products for you, Dear Customer, struggling with new software, enjoying the Olympics and celebrating the Year of Languages. All in all, it was a good, full year.

... and in with the New!
Here comes the New Year full of promise!Once again, we have no intentions of resting in the upcoming year. On the contrary; you'll be seeing all sorts of new products and innovations. All, of course, will be with the intent of making the discovery of your planet and heritages more fun and interesting.

We will also be reaching out to more organizations: Schools, churches, clubs, government agencies, etc. If you know of a group that you think we should be reaching, please let them know about us. Or, let us know about them!

 Star "Factoids"
Part I

Stars are a common symbol in lots of flags, so we thought we'd take a look at a few of them. We'll start with some simple ones:

This isn't all of the single star flags, but you get the idea. Of note: All of these are five-pointed stars with a single point pointing up. More on stars next month.

 

The Personal Corner

Talk about Peach on Earth! If you have the mantle for it. (This 11'2" mantle is almost long enough.) Our UN flag set can make a very attractive display, what with all the lights and garlands and such. Gee, we think it's attractive even without all those things!

Yes. When the US flag is displayed on a wall it should be displayed with the union uppermost and to the observer's left.
